more raya pixs here!  had our annual satay-raya party the 2nd weekend of raya..yerp satay was the main event but there were loads of other traditional food too-soto,lontong,mee goreng,kueh raye etc..this annual thingy got even 'meriah' than past years as the number of malaysian students here has now climbed up to about 40ppl..  hmm..wonder if we have to find a bigger place next year..

me went to g.coast,Australia last summer hols with some friends and it was awesome..soh here are some of the pixs..it was a short trip actually with about 25ppl in the tour group..but we had the best of time the 5 of us..but of course the rest of the group were great as well..and aha there`s a pix of us and aunty`s family,the only other malay group.. aunty and uncle became our parents in no time, and their children became fast friends..getting to know them made the trip even more meaningfull to us..
1st day-we arrived at the hotel a bit late at night but we still managed to have our 1st stroll along the soh happening surfers paradise street which turned out to be a compulsory event for the nights to come..had supper at the seafood mania rest.which was err ..should`ve known that their normal size is our jumbo`s!but heck we managed to finish up everything! we needed all the energy mind u..the hotel we were staying was decent..i was with c.yam and sarah.. and tell u,the view was grrrreat!!i think there`re some pixs of them here..
2nd day-had our 1st breakfast at the hotel which was fine..went to a farm-paradise country farm and spent our time there till about 3pm..had our share of some experience in the farm~feeding and taking pixs of koalas,kangaros,emus,horses etc..had a seafood bbq lunch and lots of fun!
since today`s plan ended a bit early, we were offered an additional course of the duck adventure ride..technically it was a ride on this big ducky-bus, and in the middle of the ride,the bus got onto the water of the surfers paradise and made a round along the beach..we were just in time to watch the sunset so everyone were pretty excited..later that night we had a dinner at a malaysian chinese restaurant..thanx to our guide marcia we didn`t have to settle for just seafood the whole trip, they serve halal food here,chicken and stuff..go fellow countryman! ..but me have to say the food was too much!everyone ate with so much guilt in their heart hehe..so much of the summer diet huh?!and the rest of the night?the shopping spree begun! and aha not to forget that exciting ripley`s believe it or not museum..full of interesting stuff..
3rd day-a failed attemp to watch the sunrise this morning..thought we woke up early enuff but by the time everyone got ready to walk to the beach, it was rising already..but we walked to the beach anyway and met some crazy-drunken ppl on the beach..the street was verry quiet in the morning..the only ppl n the street were the guys picking up rubbish and some druken men..
went to The Seaworld after bfast and spent our time there till evening..dinner was at another m`sian chinese but we had a seafood course this time..pretty good food..some man from the chinese group calebrated his b`day today so everybody sang happy birthday together..afterwards we went to a duty free shop with the group..duh..like there was anything we could afford to buy anyway so the 5 of us left early and went back on the street..shopped for souveniers and stuff..got into the hard rock cafe..and yup..of course that special trip to the money exchange!
4th day-so it was a failure the other day..but we made it this time! woke up pretty early and even had the time to find a good spot on the beach to watch the sunrise! at last..
went to the movie world..too bad we didn`t have enuff time to enjoy everything,the rides,pictures and stuff..but of course we got to try that lethal weapon ride..whoa!!worth the 3hours spent waiting in the line..glad i took my shoes off! ..there were also the police academy show, parades and stuff..on the way back to the hotel,we dropped by at a souvenires shop, got ourselves some australian nuts,nougats(this was verrry good..)and etc..dinner was a chinese again, a different place..not much different to last night..chat2 with aunty`s family during dinner..apparently they were relatives to my friend from school..and the sister@along knows some seniors of mine..what a small world..it was our last night, and everyone was so tired of the walkings and the shoppings..but me and amal managed to squeeze our last stock of energy and explored a different part of the street that night where things were cheaper and different! packed up our luggage b4 bed..err seemed that everyone has gotten an extra luggage!
last day-time to leave 0) checked out after bfast..took some time to capture some memories on the rest.balcony..if only we had more money and energy left,maybe we would`nt mind staying longer here..but by this time me was verry bad with cough and a running nose..and everybody else too was not in good condition..heck for the days that we spent here we practically slept for merely 3-4 hours a day and walked for like miles..and so,we had some last minute shopping at the brisbane airport,stuff to read and etc..got myself a cute notebook and got everyone to put some words in it..aha..here comes the only bad thing about the trip-the transit at brunei..what supposed to be a few hours transit turned out to be a 10 hours delay!arrived at brunei at about6pm..1st, our flight was delayed till 1am..fine..so walked around in a circle that boring airport..even got out from the airport but got back inside in 5minutes!too tired to even read the stuff we had..and our chocolates and stuff were locked up s`where!..so what to do..laying around till it was time to get on board..by the time we were called..everyone were practically sleeping on the chairs like we don`t care..when we got on bored we were then put to wait for 2 hours b4 we actually took off!  technical problem they said..lucky they had some handsome steward on the plane or else we might just burst out with anger haha! we only took off at about 3am..poor uncle dawam(amal`s father)and sarah`s and elmi`s for having to wait for hours at KLIA..we splitted up into 3groups from there..sarah and elmi with their parents and me and yam with amal..the end of our 1st attemp of a trip abroad..thanx to amal and aunty sabariah for arranging stuff for us..it was a great trip..i wish we could do this thing again sometime..next,europe maybe..?!
